I’ve been with NMC for about 23 years now. I studied engineering but soon realised that it wasn’t for me. Having travelled for a year I came back to Ireland and found a job working with Natural Medicine Company, then a small company operating from a converted shed at the back of its owners house near Blessington, Co.Wicklow. Having started in the warehouse, I worked my way up and went on to study Homeopathy. The company eventually moved to its current industrial sized premises. I began to work in Marketing within the company and also spent a few years as a sales rep for the company. I currently am the brand manager for our supplement brands. As I matured I became more interested in food for health and was drawn to the many supplements that we sell. I was fascinated by the power of my body to heal itself if I just pay a little attention to what I put in my mouth, and how different foods address different imbalances in the body. I always had a desire to go back to college since my first attempt was fruitless. I spoke to lots of people in the industry about what the options were. Although life was very busy, and with the support of my wife, I started with IHS 3 and a half years ago. I graduate this weekend. It’s a tough course, but its content is fascinating, its course design really supports part time study and tutors really tuned in.
